Understanding Home Adaptations and Minor Modifications
Home adaptations and minor modifications are common referral requests for OT’s working within the NDIS. Whilst relatively simple on the surface, at times the process to navigate requirements for funding and preparation of reporting can be confusing. With the introduction of benchmark pricing for minor modifications, therapists need to have sound knowledge and understanding of the steps involved.
The workshop will focus on understanding the NDIS rules and application of the Home Modification operational guidelines. It will also include an overview of the various processes based on risk and cost, with respect to assessment, quoting and reporting. We will review the reporting required for adaptations and minor modifications plus discuss various case scenarios demonstrating home mods success.
