Karen Maurer has over 25 years’ experience working as an OT, including many years as a senior clinician with a special interest in assistive technology for adults. She runs Capable Spaces, a private practice supporting clients with neurological conditions/ SCI/ TBI to live with dignity and empowerment, by maximising their independence in everyday life.

This was great, a really good refresher, particularly heading back into acute hospital work. Key take away around intrinsic and extrinsic factors, prioritising these and reinforcement of current practoce, setting something up quickly in acute, but monitoring and changing as appropriate to meet client's needs.
