Just what are the risks with bed prescription? From adjustable beds to rails, sticks and restrictive practices…..what do you as an OT need to know? This session will cover clinical considerations for prescription of adjustable beds for children and adults with disabilities. Discussion will include risk assessment, and feature selection in order to select the right bed to safely meet the individual needs. You will learn about zero gravity, Trendelenburg, central locking, alternative control systems, split versus companion setups, funding requests and more.
